The Things God Knows About Us!
It’s awesome to see the infinite wisdom and knowledge of our God in the Holy Scripture. David said this about Him, “Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off. Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways. For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether. Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it” (Psalms 139:2-6). David proceeds to talk of how His Holy Spirit is inescapable. He, then, continues to speak of how all of our bodily members are written in His Book of our Substance. The false gods of our world are a joke, but our God is supernatural. I really love the truth of how God cares for us and has no desire to judge us or reject us. Look at these words, “How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee” (Psalm 139:17-18). When any living person comes into a personal knowledge of the Lord, it is no longer religion but a fellowship and a relationship more real than your best friend on earth. Right where you are, surrender to Him and ask Him to make known Himself to you. He is perfectly ready.

Dear Pastor Chambers, As that knowledge was unattainable to David, Jeremiah must have felt the same when the Lord said “Before I formed you in the belly I knew you; and before you came forth out of the womb I sanctified you, and ordained you a Prophet unto the nations.(Jer.1:5) Jeremiah’s reaction and God’s response is a real encouragement to me: “Then said I, Ah, Lord God! behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child. But the Lord said unto me, Say not, I am a child: for you shall go to all that I shall send you, and whatsoever I command you you shall speak.”(Jer. 1:7) Oh, how many times we feel inadequate because we see ourselves as weak human flesh, when all we need to do is pray for a supernatural faith and believe God will put His words in our mouths. I’m so glad my Sheppard knows His sheep, and I know my Sheppard too!
