The Strait Gate To the Holy City
The church world has forgot that the Royal Road to the Holy City is strait and narrow. There is a multitude of religious people that go to church, talk religion and even read the Bible but they have never been totally transformed by being “Born Again.” It is easy to be religious but never become an “On Fire Christian.” Jesus Christ was so concerned about this truth that He often warned His disciples. Listen to the Son of God say it straight so that no one would have an excuse. “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.” (Matthew 7: 13-14) While Apostle Paul wrote powerfully about the “Grace of God” and freedom from the “Law of Bondage,” Apostle James wrote about the New Life and the “Law of Liberty.” The church is not a “Lawless Institution,” but a divine company of saints delivered from bondage. We are free, but not free to do as we please but free to do as we should. The power of sin is broken and we can enjoy the: “Law of Liberty.” It is wonderful to be delivered from bondage to sin and the law of bondage and to be free to live in righteousness and holiness.

This is absolutely right. One of the biggest deceptions in the church world now is “pluralistic salvation.” Jesus is now only A WAY to be saved not, THE WAY.
This makes Jesus either mistaken or lying when he said he is the way the truth and the life and that no one gets to the Father except through him (John 14:6).
If either of these things was correct, that would mean Jesus is not God and we are not saved. If someone is attending a church which pushes this false doctrine, my question is: What’s the point?
You might as well stay home and catch some extra zzz’s on Sunday morning for all the good it will do you.
As for me, I’ll trust what the Bible tells me and what Jesus said, not some contemporary religious “expert.”

Dear Pastor,
i just heard the story from as friend of mine, as she recalled to when her brother lay dying, she told him to call for the angels. She must have had a Sean based Catechism so she does not realize that we are to call upon the name of Jesus. Funny how Catholics are not much different than the emergent/purpose drive church. Or the great coming disaster Chrislam.
The narrow gate is hand in hand with Jesus keeping His word.

The author speaks well of old fashioned Pentecostals too. Got to admit that it got me fired up.

Dear brother, your so right, it’s the ‘full council’ of God thats salty, I’ve been guilty of this many times, it’s the salt that goes against the pc of our society (make no waves) and w/out the salt many will perish.
Thank’s for reminding us to pass the salt, the Lord will hold us individually responsible, most likely by showing us the souls that perished because I did not want to make a wave at some critical times. The ‘early Church’ prayed for boldness after seeing one of our brothers being whip w/the ‘cat of nine tales’, very sobering, thank’s again.

Gates of Pearl? Their 12 gates in Rev.21:12 and they are named after the 12 tribes of Israel. If your not grafted into Israel 12 tribes you can’t go in.

I remember a story my husband told me about, a devout Catholic woman (and that term makes me shudder in fear), lay dying. She had pushed her son into the “church”, become a priest, go to a Jesuit school, etc. As she lay dying she began screaming in fear, all she saw was demons coming fo her. This caused the son to throw away Catholic ways and seek the real saving grace of Jesus.
I feel blessed that when I was 10 and gave my heart to Jesus, I actually felt the holy spirit enter. I still feel him now from time to time – anguished when something bad is brought to my attention, jumping and happy when I am serving God and worshipping, and speaking to me when I have questions. I have actually had his voice quote God’s scripture to me in times of trouble. Such a blessed feeling.
