The Multitude At The Gate

*This crippled man had never been allowed in God’s Temple.
*He did not know what a miracle was and had never seen the power of God.
*His condition made him unclean and he was avoided by many that passed him.
*This man was the link between the Old Testament and the New Testament.
*He was a perfect picture of the weakness of the First Covenant.
*He became an example of the power of God that fills the New Covenant.
*This crippled man was about to meet the power of the Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost.
Let’s call him Nathaniel. He represents a multitude in today’s world that are at the gate of Christ’s mighty powers but have never gone inside the Temple. I’m sure he was sad and empty inside and longed to move beyond the steps. He was bound by sin and he had never walked. The gate that he lay beside was ornate and beautiful, but who wants to spend their life at a gate when God’s House is right in front of them. To move from the gate to the glory of God required a power that had just filled one hundred and twenty saints. Two men from that event were approaching the gate. Something powerful was going to happen. The crippled man only knew to ask for a coin. Peter was a poor man in cash, but rich in anointing from the Spirit. Peter said, “Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk” (Acts 3:6b). The miracle happened and this man was perfectly healed. Now, he’s on his feet and full of joy. The first thing that he did was to head for church, “And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God” (Acts 3:8).     Why do you say you love our responses and then never post them? Why not be truthful and say: I love some responses and hate others? I’m very tired of the gatekeepers here and I will stop listening, visiting and emailing.

    Dear Pastor Chambers,
    What a great article, it hits home, Jesus is still healing, the gate is
    still open, but where is the faith that heals? I am so thankful that the
    spirit of God is working in our church, we are feeding from His table
    every time we meet. I believe that time is short for the born again
    believer,and we need to keep working the gate. I was blessed when I got
    to meet you at Myrtle Beach last year. You are in our prayers.

    Hi Pastor Joseph.

    I think another thing this account shows is that we cannot get into God’s Kingdom by our own efforts, or works, or the Law but only by God’s grace. It also shows that God will do for us greater things that we can ever conceive, but we do have to humble ourselves and ask.

    And when God does answer us, a grateful attitude and witness of what he’s done for us is a great way of saying, “Thank you!”

    This revelation is marvelous, the word is living in the sermon you have provided; praise Jesus.. Who cares? i do. I felt slain in the Spirit again. at the gate. at the feet of Jesus weeping.
