The Mighty Power of Praying in the Holy Ghost
The Kingdom of Heaven is suffering violence and the only possible victory is in “praying in the Holy Ghost.”
Nothing is more imperative in our present apostate world than God’s saints praying in the Holy Ghost. Churches are closing their doors all over the church world. Those that are not closing doors altogether are having to call off the Wednesday and Sunday night services. Jesus described this present church as “neither cold nor hot but lukewarm.” He said in Revelation 3: 15-16, “I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.”
There is a remedy and it is our rededication to the Pentecostal style of “praying in the Holy Ghost.” Here are ten statements to consider.
1. Nothing of prayer is more powerful than praying under the anointing of the Holy Ghost.
2. Any church where the saints will start praying regularly and consistently in the Holy Ghost will cause Satan to tremble and back up and turn loose of his grip.
3. Woe to the preacher or teacher that speaks against the Biblical teaching of the Spirit interceding in His saints in unknown tongues.
4. They are not resisting Pentecostal people but resisting the Holy Ghost.
5. Anyone that denies speaking in tongues and especially praying in tongues by the Holy Ghost is reducing the church to nothing but flesh.
6. The devil and his world of false religions love to imitate speaking in tongues. Everything that is real in our Bible will be masqueraded by Lucifer.
7. The world of Satan and his fallen spirits have their own language. This language fills the world of witch doctors, voodoo priests, and others in the New Age deceptions.
8. The Holy Ghost alone is God’s defense “against spiritual wickedness in high places.” (Ephesians 6:12b)
9. The Restrainer of the antichrist and evil spirits’ powers throughout Scripture is the person of the Holy Ghost.
10. Fasting and praying in the Father opens doors for all of us to develop a life of powerful praying in the Holy Ghost power.
The devil has set up tremendous resistance in the spirit realm to anyone praying regularly and powerfully in the Holy Ghost. Almost the total church world either resists this truth altogether or has come to ignore the great need. Most Pentecostal churches have learned how to have a social church or a great club of people but only the Holy Spirit can birth and build His church.
We must return to the total dependency on the powers of Pentecost. Jesus plainly told us to tarry until we were endued with power from on High. We have got to have a new day of a Holy Ghost outpouring. The words of Acts two still have a ring of glorious victory. “And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.” (Acts 2:1-4)
Nothing the Holy Ghost does in our lives is greater than anointing us to prayer. The Apostle Paul dealt with this in the great book of Romans. People call it the “Romans Road” except when it disagrees with their false theology. To say the Holy Ghost has ceased to manifest supernatural powers is utterly false. Listen carefully how he puts prayer on a level far about our flesh. “Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.”(Romans 8:26-27)
This kind of praying is supernatural. Do not let anyone tell you that he was not talking about the Holy Ghost using “His Divine Language” with our lips and tongues to talk straight to the Father. He plainly said that our minds do not even know what we are praying but it is straight past our enemies and directly pleasing to God. What a heavenly way to pray. There is no selfishness in this kind of praying. Most church praying is nothing but asking God is bless their plans and programs. God can only bless that which is purely His kingdom.
This kind of intercession is what turned the early church into a dynamo. Nothing could stop them. They invaded the enemy’s territory and beat him at every effort he made to stop them. Multitudes were saved and healed. Churches were planted at every crossroad town. The chief persecutors were either converted or eliminated. They walked out of prisons and jail and often won their keepers to Christ. The answer for all of this was their leaders living in prayer, fasting, and the Word.
Apostle Paul wrote to the church at Ephesus and made it plain that their enemy was diabolical and praying in the Spirit was the ultimate answer. “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places… Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.” (Ephesians 6:12; 18) Please note that He said “all prayer and supplication in the Spirit.” Every ounce of their prayer life was to be “in the spirit.” No flesh could meet the demands of the warfare, then or now, in these last days. We must return to praying “in the Spirit.”
The Trinity of God the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost have their own language. Apostle Paul made this absolutely clear. He stated by the Holy Ghost, “For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.” (I Corinthians 14:2) There is no way you can enter this realm of supernatural power but the Holy Ghost transporting you there. It was called “sitting in Heavenly places in Christ Jesus” in the book of Ephesians: “And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.” (Ephesians 2:6) This is where the church moves from a carnal fellowship of people to a powerhouse for the Lord.
The world can resist you and me and pay little attention to our church plans and effort. But let the mighty Holy Ghost take hold of us and all our messages and labors be saturated with the Holy Ghost anointing and hell will tremble and men will break. It has never failed. The greatest days of Christian church history was never determined by how educated or sophisticated the saints became. This usually hindered more than it helped. Smart people usually depend on their smarts. Holy men and women depend wholly on God and that’s the secret. The Holy Ghost will glorify nothing but truth and the Father and Jesus Christ the Lord. Get on your face and stay there until the Holy Ghost does the talking and the praying.

In Acts ch 2, they were REAL TONGUES, not gibberish. It says IN HIS OWN LANGUAGE.
