The Glorious Gospel (Goodnews)
The story of Cornelius is at the heart of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. When someone tries to make a case that Jesus does not hear the prayer of a sinner they have forgotten this Chapter in Acts. Cornelius was an Italian soldier and was clearly unconverted, but he was pious and hunger for a true knowledge of God. He prayed and the Bible indicates that he was very righteous and liberal with giving to good causes. We would call him a good citizen and a moral man. Our God never fails to see these attributes in any person and the merciful God that we worship will send such an individual an invitation to know Him. I am hearing that as many as six millions Muslims are being converted to Jesus Christ every year. You can believe that wherever soul are hungry to know our God somehow they will have the opportunity. There is no door to salvation but Jesus Christ but His Holy Spirit is Omnipresence and can move where He pleases. A shortwave radio, an Internet cafe(I was in one in Bagdad, Irag and listened to our Radio program setting in the heart of that city)or someone on a street watching for a door to share Jesus. Please remember what Jesus said, "And this Gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world unto all Nations; and then shall the end come."(Matthew 24: 15) Peter had to be broken from his rejection of salvation for Gentiles but a vision from God did the job.
