THAT I MAY KNOW HIM: “From the Psalms of David”

THE FIRST TESTAMENT “GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST” BY THE PSALMIST DAVID! One of the greatest experiences you will ever have in the FIRST TESTAMENT is to view the revelations of Christ by King David. The Book of Psalms is the most read book in the First Testament. This book is so eternal and unmatched in literature that it stands alone. David is called, “The Man After God’s Own Heart”. His one great failure broke his heart and left him a more humble and sensitive man, The Bible does not record the moment in his life that he received his first revelation of the Christ. It must have been before he started writing the Psalms. In Psalms two he saw the “Virgin Birth”, in Psalms 22, he saw the “Crucifixion and in Psalms 16, he saw the“Resurrection”. Please notice the certainty of his words. “For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.” (Psalms 16:10) When he spoke of the Virgin Birth it was also a beautiful statement of the “Trinity of God. “I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.” (Psalms 2:7) The ‘Only Begotten Son” is a classic term concerning His conception by the Holy Ghost. The description of the “Crucifixion” is even more graphic. Note several verses from Psalms 22. “My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring? I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint: my heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of my bowels. For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet. I may tell all my bones: they look and stare upon me. They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture.” (Psalms 22:1,14,16-18) You will never find a description of the Savior’s death more powerful than these words of David. Watch your E-mails for the Salty Saints on Thursday. The Title will be, “THE PSALMIST DAVID, 1000 years before the “MANGER”. Join me in reading this great Book of Psalms during the Christmas Season.

The Christmas gift that is one of the most important will be connected to the Bible. Why not give an album of Bible materials or a Book that takes them into great truths from Scripture. I suggest the last Album entitled, “The Great Tribulation”. There are thirteen (13) broadcasts on this subject. I love our two latest books, “THE MASTERPIECE” (This is a word for word study on the Book of Revelation.) How about a wonderful novel, “NEBUCHADNEZZAR, THE HEAD OF GOLD.” (Did you know Nebuchadnezzar was genuinely converted to the faith of Daniel?) Visit our On-line bookstore. 1. Dear Pastor

Psalms and Proverbs are an ointment to our spirits, as the days grow dark, the Psalm 23:4 often comes to mind; Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil; for You are with me; for Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

This is the real message of Christmas; Immanuel The Lord is with us. The beginning of the Blessed Hope.

    God Bless

  2. The true Messiah has nothing to do with christmas. He has everything to do with Hanukkah. The Menorah has everything to do with the tree of life. For without the oil their can be no light. christian tree is man made light of babel [worldly]. Yahushua spoke at Hanukkah in John 10:30. Without Hanukkah Yahushua would have never came into the world. For Antiochus wanted all the Jews become greek culture. Just as the christians gave Yahushua greek holy days.

  3. Dear Pastor Joseph,

  4. David’s role as king is generally well known, but he also displayed
the gifts of a prophet as well. Psalm 2 does indeed demonstrate his
    prowess in this regard.

In its twelve brief verses we are given a look into the time ahead.
In Jesus’ First Advent the religious authorities of his time opposed him
for the threat he posed to their comfortable ways of life.

Prior to Jesus’ Second Advent, the Bible teaches that Satan will
assemble a vast army from every nation of the world to move against
Israel, and Jesus himself in a last ditch effort to avoid his inevitable
    defeat.

The psalm concludes with the victorious Messiah destroying all
opposition, ruling with a “rod of iron” a phrase used verbatim in
    Revelation 19:15.

For those still alive who have chosen God at that time, it will be a
glorious time. For those who have chosen him across the ages, it will be
    their glorious vindication.
