Blaspheming the Name of Jesus
The spirit of Antichrist is on a campaign, already begun, to blaspheme the Son of God to the point that the world will utterly reject Him in favor of the false Christ. The countdown to the end has begun. The name of Jesus Christ must be blasphemed to the lowest possible point; the world must be flooded with questions that attack everything Divine about His person. This only begotten Son of God has to be eliminated as the exclusive pathway to God and saving grace. Every true believer must start watching for ministers to talk about the “universal Christ Spirit” embodied in all religions. This kind of language is absolutely the blasphemous language of the Antichrist. The politically correct world loves this “compassion approach to unity” of all religions. This language is “hell” talking.
First, let’s review some of the statements being made by noted ministers that reflect this blasphemous trend and the new inclusive language being employed. Some of these names represent the very heart of the Evangelical world. Others are noted Charismatics and also included is a big name in Bible translations. You may ask, “How can this be? How can men that know the Bible inside out descend to be partners with the spirit of blasphemy which can only reflect the work of the Antichrist?” The only answer is “apostasy.” The spirit of apostasy can only be truly represented in someone with the name of truth written upon his reputation. Error cannot apostatize; only truth can apostatize. The very word “apostasy” means “the falling away from truth.” Read these quotes carefully:
KENNETH COPELAND: “The Spirit of God spoke to me and He said, ‘Son, realize this.’ Now, follow me in this. Don’t let your tradition trip you up. He said, ‘Think this way. A twice born man whipped Satan in his own domain,’ and I threw my Bible and I said, ‘What!’ He said, ‘A born again defeated Satan. The first born of many brethren defeated him.’ He said, ‘You are the very image and the very copy of that one.’ I said, ‘Goodness, gracious sakes alive!’ and it just began, I began to see what had gone on in there. And I said, ‘Well, now, you don’t mean, you couldn’t dare mean that I could have done the same thing.’ He said ‘Oh, yeah, if you’ve known and had the knowledge of the Word of God that He did, you could have done the same thing, ‘cause you are a reborn man, too.’ He said, ‘The same power that I used to raise Him from the dead, used to raise you from your death in trespasses and sin.’ He said, ‘I had to have that copy of that pattern to establish judgment on Satan, so that I could recreate a child, and a family, and a whole new race of mankind.’ And He said, ‘You are in His likeness.’”(Excerpt From A Speaking Tape of Kenneth Copeland)
BILLY GRAHAM: Talking on a Robert Schuller television broadcast.
Schuller: “Tell me, what do you think is the future of Christianity?”
Graham: “Well, Christianity and being a true believer – you know, I think there’s the Body of Christ. This comes from all the Christian groups around the world outside the Christian groups. I think everybody that loves Christ, or knows Christ, whether they’re conscious of it or not, they’re members of the Body of Christ. And I don’t think we’re going to see a great sweeping revival, that will turn the whole world to Christ at any time. I think James answered that, the Apostle James in the first council in Jerusalem, when he said that God’s purpose for this age is to call out a people for His name. And that’s what God is doing today, He’s calling people out of the world for His name, whether they come from the Muslim world, or the Buddhist world, or the Christian world, or the non-believing world, they are members of the Body of Christ because they’ve been called by God. They may not even know the name of Jesus but they know in their hearts that they need something that they don’t have, and they turn to the only light that they have, and I think that they are saved, and that they’re going to be with us in heaven.”
Schuller: “What, what I hear you saying that it’s possible for Jesus Christ to come into human hearts and soul and life, even if they’ve been born in darkness and have never had exposure to the Bible. Is that a correct interpretation of what you’re saying?”
Graham: “Yes, it is, because I believe that, I’ve met people in various parts of the world in tribal situations, that they have never seen a Bible or heard about a Bible, and never heard of Jesus, but they’ve believed in their hearts that there was a God, and they’ve tried to live a life that was quite apart from the surrounding community in which they lived.”
Schuller: “[R.S. trips over his tongue for a moment, his face beaming, then says] “I’m so thrilled to hear you say this. There’s a wideness in God’s mercy.”
Graham: “There is. There definitely is.” (Excerpt of Television Interview of Billy Graham by Robert Schuller, Part 1, May 31. 1997)
BENNY HINN: Paul Crouch responds to Benny’s statement: “Ladies and gentlemen, the serpent is a symbol of Satan. Jesus Christ knew the only way He would stop Satan is by becoming one in nature with him. ‘What did you say? What blasphemy is this?’ No, you hear this! He did not take my sin, He became my sin. Sin is the nature of hell. Sin is what made Satan. You remember, he wasn’t Satan till sin was found in him. Lucifer was perfect till Ezekiel says, sin was found in thee. It was sin that made Satan. Jesus said, ‘I’ll be sin. I’ll go to the lowest place. I’ll go to the origin of it. I won’t just take part of it. I’ll be the totality of it.’ When Jesus became sin, sir, he took it from A-Z and said no more. Think about this. He became flesh that flesh might become like Him. He became death so dying man can live. He became sin so sinners can be righteous in Him. He became one with the nature of Satan so all those who had the nature of Satan can partake of the nature of God.” (Audio transcripts of Christian Research Institute or Media Spotlight, A Biblical Analysis of Religion and Secular Media)
RICK WARREN: Defends his nine approaches to God.
“In his book, Sacred Pathways, Gary identifies nine of the ways people draw near to God: Naturalists are most inspired to love God out-of-doors, in natural settings. Sensates love God with their senses and appreciate beautiful worship services that involve their sight, taste, smell, and touch, nor just their ears. Traditionalists draw closer to God through rituals, liturgies, symbols, and unchanging structures. Ascetics prefer to love God in solitude and simplicity. Activists love God through confronting evil, battling injustice, and working to make the world a better place. Caregivers love God by loving others and meeting their needs. Enthusiasts love God through celebrations. Contemplatives love God through adoration. Intellectuals love God by studying with their minds.” (The Purpose Driven Life, by Rick Warren, p. 103)
KENNETH HAGIN: He teaches that Jesus Christ died spiritually. The Bible “Christ” cannot die spiritually, but the Son of man died physically in our place. Yet Hagin said:
“He [Jesus] tasted spiritual death for every man. And His spirit and inner man went to hell in my place. Can’t you see that? PHYSICAL DEATH WOULDN’T REMOVE YOUR SINS. He’s tasted death for every man. He’s talking about tasting spiritual death.” (Christianity In Crisis, Hank Hanegraaff, p. 60)
FRANCIS FRANGIPANE: Tells of Christ revealed in a burrito.
“Then there is the Ohio water tower that bore on its side the likeness of a portrait of Christ. Throughout the nation, news stations reported that sign-seekers by the hundreds of thousands caused massive traffic jams. And, let us not forget the burrito in Texas that, as it was fried, took on the supposed appearance of the face of Christ. It is now enshrined and producing ‘good fruit’ in many.” (River of Life Ministries, Vol. 9, No. 2, August, 1995, p. 2)
CARLO M. MARTINI, SJ, Jesuit priest, Catholic order. Member of the United Bible Society, responsible for the Greek text used in all modern Bibles, i.e., NIV, etc.
“The risen Jesus is present to each one, as though the individual loved person were the only object of his love. The risen Christ is the love of God revealed in our hearts by the Spirit, in the heart of each and of all and in each of all. Jesus does not individualize this “each”; he gives himself to the church, the world, the angels, and the universe. Jesus exists for all. But he is for all in such a way that he is for each one, thus making each one become a part of the whole. Such is the power of the resurrection of the “abbreviated” Word, which has made itself small. Whoever accepts the scandal of the Word-become-small will share in the glory of the universality of the cosmic Word which embraces and synthesizes everything, in which all things find their order and fullness, in which everything is resumed and established. Along the way of the scandal of Jesus’ particularization until the funereal opacity of the cross, the glory of God totally fills every being. The more I think about it, the more truly grandiose and almost incredible this truth seems to me – that God fills every being with himself. He gives himself, not merely a little but in full. This divine fullness transforms into a divinized totality the entire universe of the human will, which the Son has won for the Father. Though it is true that here we do not yet have the ‘all in all’; that is the final perfection which we are to attain, nevertheless by lovingly contemplating God in all of us, we already obtain a glimpse of how the fullness of God is gradually actuating the ‘all in all.’ According to the measure in which each one is able to accept such a vision.” (Moses to Jesus, Carlo M. Martini, SJ, pp.121-122)
The Jesus Haters
Second, I want to list some statements from the heart of the Jesus Christ haters. This is venomous material that comes from the heart of Lucifer himself. Anything that can be said to destroy the Divinity of the Son of God is being employed in a daily increasing plan. ItÂ’s a campaign of destruction on a fast pace to the end. As people are desensitized the language will become more and more blasphemous. It will reach its crescendo after the Rapture when the Restrainer is removed back to the throne of God. These quotes are extremely offensive, and I write them with great pain. The Divine son and His Divine Blood must be destroyed. Read these statements prayerfully.

The New Apostasy
What is occurring in the church world and the secular world is a new deception almost unknown in church history. The darkness of the dark ages under Catholicism never dealt with the idea of a “universal Christ Spirit.” They certainly incorporated the pagan ideas of Babylon and the insane doctrines of many cultural religions, but all of it was brought under the wings of the church. Now, this new apostasy is a totally new brand of apostasy. This new apostasy is willing to accept the “Christ Spirit” in any psychological or religious expression. Anyone seeking salvation with what they term a “heart desire for God” is quickly being proclaimed as acceptable to God.
This is raw, diabolical blasphemy against the sacrifice and name of Jesus Christ, the Father’s only begotten Son. Reading Revelation chapters twelve, thirteen, and seventeen should have prepared us for this onslaught and deception. Jesus said, “For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.” (St. Matthew 24:5) Without question, He was speaking of this use of “Christ” as a universal term for an “anointed one” whoever he may be, as well as those referring to Jesus directly. The entire world of religion has a concept of a “Christ person” or “Christ spirit” in one form or another, and all can either name their “Christ person” or “spirit” or are looking for him to come. The Buddha religion points to their Buddha, while the Muslims point to Mohammed, and on and on, with each of the world’s religions. Many reports by different religions have claimed the appearances of a “Christ figure” numerous times over previous years. Some New Agers have set the date of A.D. 2012 for the celestial kingdom ruled over by their “christ.” This is dangerous, but it does not compare with the blasphemy within the circle of Evangelical ministries and other mainline forces within what should be the Bible believing churches.
We must view the Scripture to see what the Word of God has warned us to watch for. The Apostle John wrote five books of the Bible and one particular book is a book of warning concerning error within the ranks of the church. Listen carefully! “Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.” (1 John 2:18-19) He makes it clear that a “man of sin”, an individual, the ultimate Antichrist, will come; but until he comes, a spirit of Antichrist, and even many lesser Antichrists, will arise and appear. What is noteworthy is that all of these Antichrists that affect the church particularly will arise from within and not from without. I’m not so concerned about the world’s religions and their Antichrist; they are all the lesser ones. I’m concerned for those within the churches that claim Him as their Lord.
Notice what John saw. “They went out from us…that they might be made manifest” or build their great following and make a name for themselves. The Apostle John continues, “But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.
21 I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth. Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.” (1 John 2:20-22) The key verse in this quote is the second verse. “Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ?” The Messiah or Christ was prophesied from the first verse in Genesis chapter one verse one. (Read the booklet, “The Infallible Word of God, Supernaturally Engineered”) The Son of God is the eternal God in the Second Person of the Godhead. He alone is possessor of the Christ or Anointed Christ title and person. He did not become the Christ. He is eternally the Christ. The very term “Christ” as applied to Jesus Christ is a declaration that there is no other approach to salvation or to the Father, and that He alone is “the Way, the Truth and the Life.” (St. John 14:6) When someone suggests, as Billy Graham did on Robert Schuller’s television program, that someone can be saved without His name, Jesus Christ, they speak the language of the Antichrist and it is a lie; “Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ?” (The one and only, forever and ever) This is the modern apostasy.
When Kenneth Copeland, Kenneth Hagin, Jan Crouch or any of their ilk, place the Son of God, eternal and absolutely holy, in the pit of lower Sheol (hell-fire) as nothing but an “emaciated little worm spirit” (Kenneth Copeland), they blaspheme the Christ, the Eternal Creator and Second Person of the Eternal Godhead. Jan Crouch says “He burned like a cracker.” Benny Hinn and Paul Crouch were sitting on the set with her when she utterly such blasphemous words and did not offer a protest. Kenneth Hagin said, “ His physical death wouldn’t remove your sins.” All of this is but a drop in the bucket of those things being offered as Gospel to an emotion-laden crowd of big-time preacher lovers that have no discernment of truth. It’s the same “rich religion” of Revelation chapter seventeen that John the Revelator marveled at and was rebuked by an angel. “And the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns.” (Revelation 17:7)
We have only seen the beginning of this modern apostasy and blasphemy. As we head into the Seven Years of the Great Tribulation, (the Seven Years of Tribulation cannot begin until after the Rapture of the overcoming saints) the spirit of blasphemy will grow exceedingly. The modern church growth movement has lost its mind. Robert Schuller has been a blasphemer of Jesus Christ for decades but his new disciple, Rick Warren, has taken that blasphemy to a new level. Rick Warren is presently doing to the Southern Baptists and other Evangelicals what Kenneth Hagin and his disciples have done to the Pentecostals. The very idea that the “Christ, the Eternal Son of God” can be reduced to a “sinner friendly” church setting where the music is cheaper than that heard in a bar room, is blasphemy, clear and simple.
Revelation chapter thirteen is the ultimate picture of the Antichrist and the level of blasphemy destined for the end times. The Lord Jesus Christ in all His glory is directing this scene before John, and the events to come cannot change or be sidestepped. John wrote, “And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority. And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast. And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.” (Revelation 13:1-6) Such blasphemy as we see in this chapter will grow speedily as the end approaches.
All seven heads of this beast are said to be covered with names of blasphemy. These are governments of the world that appear to come to this moment already drenched in the power of blasphemy. One of these heads is wounded to death, then healed of its wound, and all the world forgets the blasphemy and wonders after the beast. It is evident that this process is a transfer of allegiance and worship from the true God to the devil and his new “christ.” No, it does not happen in a few days or a few hours or minutes; it is already in preparation. The picture in Revelation chapter thirteen is the view of this transfer from the Christ of the Bible to the christ of Lucifer. The church world, all of the church world, is either part of the events leading to this transfer or taking a life and death stand against the deception and against the surrender of themselves to the grand apostasy and its final expressions.
The Final False Church Full of Blasphemy
Revelation chapter seventeen is the picture of this final blasphemy just before it is judged by the fires of GodÂ’s final wrath. The religious world is full of blasphemy. Blasphemy is almost impossible for anyone except those passing through the church. Actually, blasphemy is truth with an evil twist. The harlot woman of Revelation chapter seventeen is a form of Christianity after it has allowed the great revelations of our Father and the great redemption of His son to pass through the hands of men and women that surrender to the opinions of the world and their careless religious leaders that have twisted, changed, diluted, removed or debauched the Holy Book. Any form of Christianity that does not match the infallible Word is part of this system to be judged and destroyed.
The Word of God speaks of this false system with a clear description. “And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters: So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.” (Revelation 17:1,3-4,6) She is not new, but as old as the imagination of men that have tried to fit their own ideas into God’s perfect Word. This woman (Catholicism and all of her daughters) has reached the height of blasphemy, and she and her children will be burned with fire. “And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.” (Revelation 17:16)
Conclusion
Blasphemy against Jesus Christ and truth has never been so blatant. The church world is full of professing believers that treat the Bible like a cafeteria where you pick and choose. Jesus made it plain that the Christian life is all or nothing. He said, “…Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” (St. Matthew 4:4) Apostle Peter spoke of the rejection of truth and the crucifying of Jesus Christ afresh. His Holy Ghost inspired words state, “For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame. For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God: But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned.” (Hebrews 6:4-8) When you crucify Him afresh, you blaspheme His worthy person and name. At the point of blaspheming Jesus Christ, very few return to truth, and at the point of blaspheming the Holy Ghost there is no return. Esau sold his birthright for a mess of pottage and sought repentance but did not find it. Blaspheming any sacred thing is serious business, but blaspheming Jesus Christ is heartbreaking.
