The World is About to Tremble
The judgment of the wicked cannot be far in the future. We have a political party in America that has become the “Homosexual Party.” Every presidential candidate in that party has endorsed the “Sodomy Agenda.” Same-sex marriage has practically been made a constitutional mandate by our activist Supreme Court. Using precedents set by the United Nations and European Union, six of our nine justices voted to strike down the “Sodomy Law” of Texas.
Judgment against these members of our Supreme Court is certain. I believe that at least two of the present members of that court will be removed before this year ends by an act that will clearly be divine. America is the worldÂ’s last hope for civility and common sense. The Sovereign God, Whom we love and serve, will not forsake the righteous and Godly citizens in this nation. If we are courageous enough to make a stand, He is faithful to defend our Biblical position. There is a point in every culture, civilization, or age when the cup of GodÂ’s indignation is full. When that happens, and only He knows the time, the wrath of God will be manifest. Our God never judges the righteous with the wicked. He is absolute, just, and holy, and no act of His hand can be seen as malicious and mean.
The Bible says that when men or women are reproved and reproved and reproved and only become hardened, that sudden judgment is inescapable. America needs a wake-up call that we failed to hear on nine eleven, two thousand (9-11-2000). There are tens of thousands of Godly men and women in this nation and the hand of our faithful God will vindicate us. The Holy Ghost said, “He, that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.” (Proverbs 29:1). God will not be mocked. He is intimately involved with His universe, and it is His universe. “For the earth is the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof.” (I Corinthians 10:26).
The Standards of GodÂ’s Coming Judgment
God never acts maliciously. He is not vindictive, neither does He act to get even or to pay back those that disobey His commands. His actions of judgment are rooted in His holy character and are redemptive towards His world and His kingdom. He judges to cleanse and protect instead of judging to vindicate. Often ungodly men have accused our God of vengeance and maliciousness, but He is not guilty. His world, which is also our world, would disintegrate into a filthy quagmire were it not for His actions of judgment. He judges sin to return civility to His and our world.
His action is determined by the “cup of sin” when it is filled to an unbearable level. He always allows sin to fill its own cup and when the cup is full, He searches among the guilty to be certain that the righteous is not unduly judged with the wicked. His acts are always that of a loving Father, who acts perfectly just. Let’s visit Abraham and listen to his and God’s conversation. First, listen as God talks to Abraham. “And the LORD said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous. I will go down now, and see whether they have done altogether according to the cry of it, which is come unto me; and if not, I will know. And the men turned their faces from thence, and went toward Sodom: but Abraham stood yet before the LORD.” (Genesis 18:20-22).
Then, Abraham responded to God. “And Abraham drew near, and said, Wilt thou also destroy the righteous with the wicked? Peradventure there be fifty righteous within the city: wilt thou also destroy and not spare the place for the fifty righteous that are therein? That be far from thee to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that be far from thee: Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?” (Genesis 18:23-25). As the conversation continued, Abraham pursues God to reconsider by reducing the number of righteous persons needed to save Sodom and Gomorrah from swift destruction. What a picture of the Father’s compassion and willingness to prevent judgment if possible. Yet, when it was clear that the cup of filth had prevailed, nothing could stay the hand of God.
When the cup is full, when His indignation is without mixture or when the righteous and those in authority become so wimpy and compromised that they will not take a stand, His judgment is manifest. When God uses the term, “without mixture,” He means, “when wickedness is coddled by those in authority or by the religious.” America is perilously close to this sad state of mind. Look at what Jesus gave John to write in the last book of Holy Scripture. “The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb.” (Revelation 14:10).
“Judgment to the line” is another standard of this coming judgment. Slowly the church of America has been reduced in its Biblical concepts to believe the Bible is relative and debatable. Our nation’s conscience used to be strong in Judeo-Christian absolutes. If the Bible said it, we believed that settled it. This truth is one of the casualties of this apostate time. Everything about God is so fluid and changing that no real conviction guides most of our ministries and preaching or our living. This will change when judgment begins.
The Bible is infallible and pure. Every commandment and truth will play a part in the Day of Judgment. Look at this breathtaking statement by the Holy Ghost of God. “Judgment also will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place. And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it.” (Isaiah 28:17-18).
Our God is not pernicious. Judgment will not vary by oneÂ’s position in this life or his/her standing in political or religious circles. It will be exact and pure by the Word of God and the field will be level before the Judgment Seat of Christ and the White Throne Judgment.
There will be no place to hide. Most sins are undiscovered to us in our present world. Many people hide their carelessness for years and go unnoticed by those outside their intimate circles. That is soon to end. The Bible is full of warnings about hiding one’s sins. Solomon taught us, “He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.” (Proverbs 28:13). Jesus warned us, “For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known. Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops.” (Luke 12:2-3).
Another important standard of judgment deals with the idea that says, “For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required.” (Luke 12:48). Those in the church who have every privilege to know the truth will be judged first and more severely. The American church is playing with fire by our careless treatment of truth. Our political world would not be such a mess if the church had not already become so filled with compromisers and self-serving religionists. The Bible says, “For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?” (I Peter 4:17).
When people that know what the Bible says, or those that should know but are too busy for themselves, trifle with His truth, they are going to pay the price. This lack of accountability to the message of Scripture is why the church in America is filled with people that live just like the world. How can the church speak effectively to the holocaust of abortion when the percentage of abortions is the same in the church as in the world? ItÂ’s all insanity and the judgment of God is about to sort out the compromisers and truth rejecters.
The Time of GodÂ’s Judgment
No one has the right to set the day that judgment at its final level will begin. Already there are signs of judgment as the whole world is shaped by Biblical prophecies given by His prophets thousands of years ago. It is impossible for the current alignment of nations to have occurred without the Hand of God. To watch our soldiers march up through the ancient land of the Garden of Eden right through Ancient Babylon into Baghdad and up to Ancient Ninevah (Mosul) made my spirit dance with joy. The world is shaping up for finalities as our God has proclaimed by His servants.
There are several clear indications of coming judgment. The weather patterns are a small matter but clearly described in Scripture. Jesus said, “And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.” (Luke 21:25-27). The media has started using the term “wicked weather.” It amazed me the first time I heard them use that analogy. Peter used language that was extremely descriptive. “But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?” (II Peter 3:10-12).
As the weather continues to develop in erratic patterns, all of us will soon get the message. The earth is running down. Sin has left a scourge over this planet. The blood of millions of babiesÂ’ cries from the ground, and God is listening. Do not forget it, God is listening.
The Lord Jesus gave us a powerful indication of the “End Times.” He said, “But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.” (Matthew 24:36-39).
If we use this description of the end and take the whole picture from Genesis of NoahÂ’s day, the picture is overwhelming. We have surpassed the evil that Scripture declared characterizing NoahÂ’s day, and yet we continue as though we think God is not looking. Open your eyes, my friends.
“When Jerusalem is under siege,” we are warned that the end is at hand. Watching the peace process in Israel is a lesson in Biblical theology. Zechariah prophesied over 2,500 years ago exactly what is occurring right now. He said, “Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem. And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it. In that day, saith the LORD, I will smite every horse with astonishment, and his rider with madness: and I will open mine eyes upon the house of Judah, and will smite every horse of the people with blindness.” (Zechariah 12:2-4).
What is happening in the Middle East is perfect Biblical fulfillment. As long as Jerusalem and Israel was the center of attention in the Middle East, time was on hold. As soon as Iraq, where Babylon is located, was ushered into the mix, then the picture became complete. The whole balance of nations is on a Biblical timetable, which is impossible to ignore. Nothing sets the clock on the wall of time more clearly than what is happening in the Middle East. That clock is on a race to midnight.
When the wicked are blind, arrogant, and totally oblivious to judgment, itÂ’s a sign of impending judgment. Nothing speaks of judgment more than when men laugh at judgment. When the angels came to Sodom and Gomorrah to prepare for judgment, the godless crowd tried to break down the door at LotÂ’s home. These sodomites were ready to rape angels in their belligerence and rage. Angry wicked people always explode in their godlessness as the judgment hangs in the balance. Their rage is usually the force that tips the balance and then God acts.
David wrote eloquently of this day in which we live. He declared the deliverance of the righteous and the connecting judgment of the wicked. Judgment always embodies both elements. God never judges the righteous with the wicked and He always reserves His deliverance of the righteous for the day when He prepares to judge the wicked. Let’s hear this prophet of the past, “And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.” “But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.” “Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.” (Daniel 12:1, 12:4, 12:10). Our world is sitting on ready.
All the World Will Recognize the True God
Finally, all arguments will end in the debate on who is the true God. Today, anyone that is so narrow as to believe that the God of the Holy Bible is the only true God is viewed by the world as a bigot. The politically correct view is to worship a smorgasbord of gods. Our children that are protected from the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, are being taught about the many gods of many cultures. The entertainment world teaches our youth to be entertained by demons, spirits, and occultic ideas. Biblical words and thoughts are integrated with satanic ideas just to denigrate truth.
The Bible is powerful to warn us that the true God will soon be evident to all. Isaiah proclaimed, “For when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.” (Isaiah 26:9b).
When this earth is reeling and rocking by the hands of judgment, there will be no atheists. They won’t pray to the moon god or Allah or Krishna. The wickedest of men will cry out to the eternal God revealed to the Jews and now known by Jesus Christ, His only begotten Son. “And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind. And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?” (Revelation 6:13-17).
Conclusion
The world is about to tremble. Judgment hangs in the balance and the next wicked event could tip the scales. God does not judge the sinner, but He judges the sin. Anyone can escape today by repenting. The moment you turn from sin to the cleansing power of His shed blood, you will escape the coming holocaust of unspeakable sorrows. Our God never rejoices in the sorrows of judgment. We are forbidden to rejoice when the wicked are judged of their sins. God said He would turn their judgments back if His people rejoiced. “Rejoice not when thine enemy falleth, and let not thine heart be glad when he stumbleth: Lest the LORD see it, and it displease him, and he turn away his wrath from him.” (Proverbs 24:17-18). He is a Heavenly Father with great mercy to the sinners, but holy and pure and cannot allow sin to continue. “…Prepare to meet thy God…” (Amos 4:12).
