The Confession Of Purity

Not one gift or ability that God our Creator has given us is greater than the gift of Speech. Our tongue is an incredible instrument and has wonderful potential. It is also a potential for evil and can product death and sorrow. It’s all up to you and I which the tongue becomes, good or bad. "Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof." (Proverbs 18-21) The positive that can flow from our speech is especially special when we teach ourselves to live a life of "Confession" of the Lord Jesus Christ and His promises in Holy Scripture. "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." (Romans 10 9-10) We will receive from the Lord every blessing of promises if we live a life of faith and confession. To confess His words and truths is to possess the same. The Bible plainly says, "Yet ye have not because ye ask not…" (James 4:2b) This great truth has been falsely used by the "Name it, claim it" crowd. Lets take it back and give it a strong Biblical understanding. Comments are welcome at jrc@pawcreek.org
