By Faith, Moses
The great Saints throughout the Bible were just plain men and women. They were no different from you and I except in the faith that they had toward God. Abraham was about 0ne hundred and twenty years old when God said to him, "And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me." (Genesis 22:12) God could now trust Abraham to have faith and obey Him. Over and over in Holy Scripture we see the impact of Saints that dared to trust God to the extreme. The Testimony about Moses reveals the heart of great faith. It was not just faith in faith or faith as some great human virtue. It was faith that was born of relationship, because that is the only faith that gets results. Moses wrote the first five books of the Holy Bible and was acquainted with the WORD, the true WORD, Jesus Christ. Though Christ was yet unknown to the world, He was known to Moses. That is why his faith was dynamic. The testimony said " Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompense of the reward.: (Hebrews 11:26) This is supernatural truth. Before He appeared in flesh, a man of faith knew Him and trusted Him. Comments are welcome at jrc@pawcreek.org
